Building Integrated Vegetation Systems and their Sustainability Aspects; A Literature Review


 Abstract:There is a growing need of sustainable building development all over the world. It aims to decrease adverse effects environment due urbanization and escalating population growth. Since construction considered as one main concerns, priority was given mitigate negative impact environment. Therefore, incorporating elements techniques buildings regain land loss activities in cities currently practicing. Adding various vegetation types through different approaches, obtain expected results better living condition around called integrated systems (BIV). Vertical gardening systems, vertical farms, constructed green roofs roof farms can be stated categories BIV systems. However, there paucity published critical reviews on such therefore, this study an attempt review overall sustainability aspects including environmental sustainability, economic social sustainability. This consists with 114 research publications from relevant journals online scientific databases. Finally, identified each were analyzed select best option terms greening which recommended for implementations future. Mainly, importance moving towards solution meets food needs finally discussed. it concluded that by architecture smart agriculture, we expect green, healthy productive fulfill requirements cities. Though are many challenges overcome, maintaining good management practices will give output. Out literature selected study, only 8 papers discussed about drawbacks limitations still having information.
